About these terms
These terms apply when a consumer buys goods from happymatliving.com. Please read them before ordering. The website is operated by Happy Mat Yoga Ltd, trading as Happy Mat Living, company number 15919054, registered office c/o TaxAssist Accountants, 3 Boldmere Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, B73 5UY. Products and descriptions
We take reasonable care to describe and photograph our candles accurately. Colours may vary slightly between screens, and small variations may occur because products are hand-poured in small batches. Fragrance perception is personal and can vary between people and rooms. These natural or minor variations are not faults unless the product is materially different from its description.
Product details, net weight, fragrance information, safety information and the current price are shown on the relevant product page. Please read the candle-care and safety label before use.
Ordering and our contract
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a contract to place an order. Please check your basket, delivery details and payment information before submitting the order. An automated acknowledgement means we have received your order; a contract is formed when we confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods. If we cannot accept an order, we will tell you and refund any payment taken.
We may refuse or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, payment is not authorised, pricing or description contains an obvious error, delivery restrictions apply, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. We will not charge for an order we do not accept.
Ordering and our contract
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are added at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect an order already accepted. Payment is taken through the methods shown at checkout. Promotional codes are subject to any stated dates, eligibility and exclusions, have no cash value and cannot be combined unless we say otherwise.
Delivery, cancellation and returns
Our Delivery & Returns Policy forms part of these terms and explains processing times, delivery charges, damaged items, cancellation rights, returns and refunds. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Candle safety and care
Use every candle in accordance with its safety label and care instructions. Trim the wick to approximately 5 mm before each burn, use a stable heat-resistant surface, keep away from draughts, children, pets and flammable materials, and never leave a burning candle unattended. Do not burn for more than four hours at a time. Stop use when the remaining wax reaches the safety level stated on the label.
Guided meditations
A Ritual Collection candle includes personal access to the guided meditation described with that product. Scan the included QR code and follow the on-screen instructions; if a password is supplied, keep it private. Access is for your personal, non-commercial use and may not be copied, recorded, shared, sold or made publicly available without written permission.
We make reasonable efforts to keep meditation access working. If a QR code, link or password does not work, contact lisa@happymatliving.com with proof of purchase and we will provide reasonable assistance or an alternative access method.
Wellbeing and safety notice
Our meditations are provided for general relaxation and wellbeing. They are not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice and are not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment from a qualified professional. Do not listen while driving, cycling, operating machinery or doing anything that requires your full attention. Stop if you feel unwell or distressed and seek appropriate support. If a meditation may lead to sleep or deep relaxation, extinguish the candle before beginning.
Intellectual property and website use
The Happy Mat Living name, branding, product text, photographs, recordings, meditations and website content are owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property law. You may use the website for personal shopping and information. You must not reproduce, scrape, republish, exploit, interfere with or attempt unauthorised access to the website or its content.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses where you buy as a consumer, or for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control where we take reasonable steps to reduce the effect. Nothing excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights.
Website availability and third-party links
We aim to keep the website available and accurate but cannot promise uninterrupted access. We may maintain, update or temporarily suspend features. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when your order is accepted will apply to that order. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory rights to bring proceedings in your home courts. If part of these terms is found invalid, the remaining terms continue to apply.
